Class Descriptions
Combination classes allow our youngest students to experience 30 minutes of tap and 30 minutes of ballet.
Tap offers an energetic way to learn to make different rhythmic patterns using your feet.
Ballet is the basis for all dancing so come learn the art and discipline of this graceful art.
Pointe takes ballet to the next level and is available to those currently studying ballet, upon teacher approval.
Contemporary is an emotional form of dance that is a fusion of ballet and jazz.
Modern started as a rebellion to ballet and pushes the boundaries of dance. It is performed barefoot!
Jazz can take many different paths. It is fun, upbeat and has smooth and sharp movements.
Hip Hop has many different styles and has room for personal interpretation. Learn the latest dance moves in this high energy class.
Adult classes include Ballet, Hip Hop, Tap, Pilates and Zumba.
A once-a-year registration fee of $20.00 is due with registration.
Tuition is $48.00 a month for the first class enrolled and $40.00 for the 2nd, $35.00 for the 3rd class (check price list for additional class prices) and is due by the second lesson of each month. (Late charges will be: 1 week late - $10.00; 1 month late - $25.00)
***If we see a student has not attended class on a regular schedule and has missed 3 classes in a row, we will call. If no response or contact has been made after the 4th week, we will remove the student from the class roll. However, you will be responsible for tuition until a 30 day written notice has been turned into Studio One.
A $35.00 fee will be assessed on all returned checks.
RECITAL COSTUMES
Costumes will be ordered the first of January and costume money is due at that time. Cost-notices will go out the middle of November. You will have 3 options of payment: 3 payments (Nov. -Dec.-Jan), 2 payments, 1 complete payment. Money will be due by January 6th, 2011. Costumes will not be ordered unless they have been paid for by the deadline.
A recital fee of $60 is due in May. If you have more than 1 child in dance, the second child’s fee is $50.00 & the 3rd child will be $45.00 (This will include 2 parent tickets per family dancing plus 1
additional ticket for each additional child.)
This fee must be paid in May with a separate check before your child can participate in the recital.
Attire
ALL STUDENTS ARE TO WEAR LEOTARDS & TIGHTS for all classes. NO PANTY-HOSE. Students that take a ballet-only-class MUST wear a black leotard & pink tights. Students taking tap or jazz only, must wear a leotard/tights & black jazz pants.
Company-dancers must wear Company leotard, tights and/or jazz pants.
NO JEANS OR SHORTS OF ANY KIND
PLEASE HAVE ALL STUDENT’S HAIR PULLED-UP AND OUT OF THE FACE.
All dance shoes should be in a dance-bag of some sort. (Loose shoes will get misplaced and cause confusion for the smaller students). PLEASE HAVE NAMES ON ALL SHOES AND DANCE BAGS.
No gum or candy is allowed inside the dance areas.
Please take small children to the restroom before their class.
